Hyundai SA appoints Stanley Anderson as new CEO

Hyundai Automotive South Africa has appointed Stanley Anderson as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Anderson is a familiar presence at Hyundai SA, currency serving as the company’s Sales and Operations Director. He will take up the new role on July 1, 2025.

Current CEO Gideon Jansen van Rensburg is taking up another role within the Motus group, where he will head up its Retail division from the beginning of July.

“Anderson brings a wealth of experience, expertise and a proven track record of success in the automotive industry and has been instrumental in driving the company’s sales and operations - including the launch of various Hyundai vehicles in South Africa,” the company said.

Anderson began his career at Mercedes-Benz SA in 1989, and held several sales and marketing related positions until joining Hyundai at the beginning of 2001.

“I am humbly honoured to be given this huge responsibility of leading Hyundai Automotive South Africa at such a pivotal time in the South African automotive industry,” Anderson said.

“I am cognizant of the challenges that lie ahead but equally embrace and look forward to leading a group of hardworking, talented and committed Hyundai Automotive South Africa team members,” he added.
