Tyla drops new music
More new music is on the horizon!
Tyla has unveiled the release date for her highly anticipated single, “Bliss”, which dropped on Friday, May 10.
Fans got a sneak peek of the song during her Coachella debut last month and will get to hear the singer serenade them when the full song drops.
In the run-up, Tyla collaborated with Erewhon on a smoothie named after the single.

American rapper Rick Ross gave props to Durban, South Africa!
After headlining a music festival at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Ross took to social media to express his love for the city’s vibrant atmosphere and beauty.
In the viral clip, he showcases the beauty of the Zimbali Estate, where he enjoyed his stay, expressing that it’s beautiful and that he loves it.
He thanked the city for having him, showcasing his appreciation for this stunning destination.

Kanye West's chaos
Rapper Kanye West stormed out of an interview with Piers Morgan on "Piers Morgan Uncensored" after a heated exchange.
This is not the first time the two have clashed. In a 2022 interview that went viral, West defended his anti-Semitic remarks.
The latest interview got off to a rocky start with West correcting Morgan’s reference to him as “Ye West”, insisting that he has dropped his slave name.
The conversation quickly turned sour when West got defensive about his Instagram follower count, He claimed to have 33.3 million followers instead of 32 million.

Sol Phenduka’s viral wild moment
Sol Phenduka, co-host of "Podcast and Chill with MacG", trended for all the wrong reasons after viral clips showed an intoxicated Phenduka trying to get the attention of rapper Cassper Nyovest.
In the clip, Phenduka repeatedly shouted Nyovest's nicknames while the rapper gave him the cold shoulder.
Embarrassingly, the situation took a turn for the worse when Phenduka was eventually pulled away by a friend, leaving many to wonder what had happened.
The viral moment has left fans talking, with many poking fun at Phenduka’s embarrassing antics caught on video.
Since then, Phenduka laughed off the incident and said he'll be lying low for a while.

Miss SA opens up about her experience with music
Miss SA Mia Le Roux addressed the online chatter that has been happening since the recently held Metro FM Music Awards, revealing that music is one of her "biggest insecurities".
Le Roux is the first deaf woman to be crowned Miss South Africa. She was diagnosed with profound hearing loss at the age of one and has a cochlear implant to help her perceive sound.
In her statement, she explained her unique relationship with music. “I use cochlear implants, which help me perceive sound - but I have nothing to compare it to, as I’ll never truly know what someone without a device hears."
On another note, the Miss SA organisation has shared that Miss SA will not be participating in the Miss Supranational 2025 beauty pageant.
DJ Black Coffee claps back at "downgrade" insults towards Victoria Gonzalez
South African DJ and global music icon Black Coffee has called out the tired and frankly mean-spirited trend of comparing current partners to exes.
This comes after an X user shared photos of his Venezuelan model girlfriend, Victoria Gonzalez, alongside his ex-wife, actress Enhle Mbali, captioned with the now all-too-familiar prompt: “Upgrade or downgrade?”
The DJ responded with a sharp Xhosa insult followed by a meme aimed at rapper Reason (Sizwe Alakine), who the same online circus has also targeted.
